Foods that Build Muscle

Why is it important to build muscle?
Building muscle will help BOOST your METABOLISM and BURN FAT! As we get older our metabolism starts to slow down. With the proper foods and exercise you can control your metabolism.
You should know that it is not just lifting weights that will build your muscle it is what you eat as well.
- Eat 5 -6 small meals a day (each meal roughly consisting of about 200-350 calories (estimated) Eating more often will allow your body to burn those calories instead of putting your body in starvation mode to store fat.
Foods that will help build muscle?
- Lean meats and fruits and vegetables will actually build muscle.
- Eating lean meats such as turkey, fish, and chicken is highly recommended when eating foods that build muscle. These lean meats are high in protein and amino acids which we all know are used to build muscle. Did you know that amino acids are needed to break down the protein to heal the muscles after weight training? That is why eating lean meats is so important. The faster you heal your muscles the faster you can gain muscle mass.
- Eating foods that are high in potassium can help in the healing of your muscles as well try these foods that are rich in potassium such as strawberries and bananas.
-Stay away from all of those fatty foods, try to avoid high fat cuts of meat, make sure it says lean or 98% fat free. Do not eat fried foods because these are bad calories. Eat baked or grilled food and use olive oil to cook it in. Stick to foods that are natural and have not been processed or have a lot of fat and sugar in them. Changing your diet now to help build muscle will also help with your over all health now and in the future.

Start your own health and fitness business!

Hi my name is Connie Hernando, I wanted to share with you how I got started in the Health and Fitness business. I was introduced to this company back in June of 2008. I found myself struggling with my weight. I couldn't seem to get myself motivated or on track to my fitness goals. I decided to become a Beachbody coach. I knew I needed to be more accountable to my workouts. I started logging my workouts in the WOWY gym. I purchased the Turbo Jam videos and started working out 3 times a week. After the second week I noticed my love handles slimming down. I now became excited that I could see the changes in my body after a short period of time. After 3 months I was back to my before baby size. Wow, you can't believe the confidence I felt wearing my swimsuit. Since then, I now work out to ChaLEAN extreme and P90X. I still love Turbo Jam, but I am looking to define my muscles. I just started drinking the new Shakeology all in one meal shake. It is the best thing.
